Country Skiing
The Nordic Center is the hub of
recreational activity in the town of
Crested Butte. Experience the beauty
of the Gunnison Valley with 45
kilometers of track groomed for
classic and skate cross-country
skiing or guided backcountry tours.
If you are new to the sport, there
are instructors for teaching all
levels. A full fleet of rental
equipment is available at the Nordic

Dog Sled
Tours
We offer
unforgettable wilderness sled dog
adventures for all ages and
abilities. You can choose between a
short tour that lasts approximately
an hour or the Learn to Mush Tour
that will give you the chance to run
a team of rambunctious, very
experienced huskies on a pristine
wilderness trail. You can also
choose the all day tour which will
give you a chance to spend the day
with the dogs and view some
unforgettable scenery. The tours
leave just minutes from the Crested
Butte Mountain Resort and
transportation to the location can

Ice Skating
Bundle up in your warmest wool and
ride the free town shuttle to the
Big Mine Ice Rink in the town of
Crested Butte.
At the outdoor rink at the NordicCenter,
you can practice your spins, jumps,
or just skate in circles. Skate

Crested Butte Center for the Arts
The
Mission
of the Center for the Arts is to
enrich and expand community
participation in the Arts. They do
this by hosting a wide variety of
concerts, theater and dance
productions, speakers, conferences,
and more throughout the year. An
outdoor stage is host to the Crested
Butte Music Festival and the KBUT

Crested Butte Mountain Theatre
In 1972, the non-profit
organization, the Crested Butte
Mountain Theatre (CBMT), was founded
to infuse the community with fun,
fantasy, and freedom. After
performing in several locations
through the past few decades, the
theater's current home is the
Mallardi Cabaret Theater. With its
goal to bring arts to the local
community, the theater puts on
several plays each year. Call the
