Kids' Ski & Ride Lessons
AGES 3 - 15
Keystone is three big mountains with an incredible variety of terrain. Our coaches will build your child's skills and confidence while showing them what a true mountain experience is all about-FUN!
* Children with diapers or pull ups will not be accepted

FIRST TIME SKIERS AND RIDERS
LEVEL 1 Your first time on the slopes.
Lesson Expectations: Keystone's instructors will help you start out right and help you avoid bad habits from day one. Learn to think like an expert with Keystone's unique Direct to Excellence approach. Learn about the equipment and the mountain environment, and how to stop and make your
first turns.

BEGINNER SKIERS AND RIDERS
LEVEL 2
You've spent a few hours on the slopes.
Lesson Expectations: Improve your turns, gain confidence and control.

LEVEL 3 You're comfortable making turns on beginner terrain.
Lesson Expectations: Develop confidence with different sizes and types of turns. Ride a chairlift and ski or ride on the mountain-when you're ready.

BEGINNER SKIERS AND RIDERS
LEVEL 4 You ski or ride comfortably on most green terrain. You can link smooth turns.
Lesson Expectations: Skiers become more consistently parallel and all will build confidence to glide at higher speeds or on steeper slopes.

INTERMEDIATE SKIERS AND RIDERS
LEVEL 5 You ski or ride comfortably on all green terrain and most blue terrain.
Lesson Expectations: Explore higher speeds, shorter, complete turns. Venture into easiest, ungroomed terrain.

LEVEL 6 You're confident on any groomed blue terrain and capable of skiing or riding the easiest ungroomed and moguled blue terrain.
Lesson Expectations: Refine your balance and technique. Explore technical options for more versatility.

ADVANCED SKIERS AND RIDERS
LEVEL 7 You're confident on all blue and easier black diamond terrain
Lesson Expectations: Refine balance and develop skills and versatility. Explore tactics and technique options for enjoying the whole mountain including steeps, powder, moguls and/or freestyle.

LEVEL 8 You ski and ride with confidence on most terrain.
Lesson Expectations: Solidify your fundamentals and expand your confidence at a growing range of speeds, terrain and conditions.

LEVEL 9 You fear no terrain, but you're continuously trying to improve.
Lesson Expectations: Explore any of the challenges of the mountain from the steepest and gnarliest black diamonds.
