Sunlight's uncomplicated trail system features 67 trails that funnel back to the base lodge and features something for everyone in your group retreat(s), including cruising corduroy, steep and deep, and leg-pounding moguls. All of Sunlight's trails eventually end up right back at the base lodge so families will not lose each other. Sunlight's Extreme has one of the steepest trails in Colorado called "The Heathen," which plunges at a 52° pitch to Four-Mile Creek below. Sunlight is also home to one of Colorado's longest cruisers: Ute Trail, which winds more than 2.5 miles from the summit to the base. You can't beat a Sunlight Colorado ski package. Calling all rippers, airdogs and jibbers! Sunlight Mountain Resort is proud to introduce the new Centre of the Rockies Terrain Park. The park is actually three separate parks with varying features and difficulty levels, indicated by orange ovals on the trail map and on signage throughout the mountain. A must-see on your Colorado family ski vacation, the Roaring Fork Slide-n-Grind Park is a rail jammer heaven with three levels of booters, shotguns, triples, rainbow rails and a volcano that plays host to our annual Rail Jam Series. The Volvo Fast Lane features a huge quarter pipe, and the Land Rover Epic Adventure Park (where our big air comps are held) boasts expert rails and two huge jumps. Sunlight offers ski lessons for first time skiers and snowboarders who would like to get on the mountain by the end of their first day. Sunlight Mountain Resort also offers basic lessons and training for individuals with special needs.
